I’m done with draft 3! It feels so good to finally say that. Let me tell you, that edit took me a lot longer than I expected. While most of the edits were little grammatical things (extra comma here, new paragraph there), there were also some small sections where I didn’t like the flow or the information needed to be tweaked. It was kind of fun doing it physically in a book, though.
So, what’s next, you might ask? We’ll, I ordered physical copies of the new edits to inspect them. I also spent some extra time tweaking the formatting to hopefully look a little better, so I need to check that and make sure there are no issues with the print. Then I’ll probably have more volunteers who want to read this version. It’s getting close to the final copy… At least the version I’m more comfortable sharing with everyone else. I think I’m always going to feel like it needs editing, but if I don’t put it down I might go insane.
I’m also working with my sister in law, Talia, on getting the cover art figured out. She gave me some draft thumbnail examples that got me real excited. Once I have a final decision on how the cover will look, I’ll see what drafts I can share here. It’s going to be awesome.
For now, I’ll end with a little tease at what I’m starting on now…

Until next time!
