Sorry for the delay

Obviously this is about a week behind schedule, but never fear! A new update has arrived. Unfortunately, there isn’t much in the way of book 1 or book 2 updates, but I’ll share what I can.

For draft 3 of Enceladus (focusing mostly on grammer, small issues, etc.), I made some decent headway getting almost halfway through. Then I realized I had missed something entirely and had to restart the entire process. Which is lame. I got through chapter 2, but it may take me a bit more time owing to the fact I need to look a little closer at the draft as I go.

Draft 1 of book 2 has no update just yet. I’ve been thinking through the draft a lot and tweaking the outline, but no words have really been put to paper quite yet.

Now I can explain why there wasn’t much of an update and why it’s so late. We just barely returned (as in, last night) from a long vacation where the family went on an 8-day cruise. My plan was to make a lot of headway on draft 3 of Enceladus in some downtime, but I once again severely underestimated just how much of a handful four kids can be on vacation. That, coupled with my annoying motion sickness and the meds to counteract that motion sickness making me very tired and my vision very blurry, meant I did not get any work done on draft 3 during the trip. Plus, I had to finish up as many active projects as I could at work before leaving, and now I have to catch up on the many, MANY emails that came in while I was gone.

I’m thinking that this month will be good. Summer is winding down, big vacation is in the books, and I’m ready to get this (hopefully) final draft finished. (Now that I say it, some disaster is going to pop up I just know it).

Until next time!
