We’re back! And its spooky month, so I’m excited to get back into it.
First off, I’m still working on the Marvel short story collection with my friend. I’ve officially completed my Doctor Strange story after three or so drafts, and I’m pretty happy with the results. I’ve never written a story this short (it’s around 3,500 words), so I’m curious to know if it works the way I’m hoping it works. I’m also very excited to read the other stories included.
Additionally, I’ve got a little extra something something. As a little surprise for those who actually read these updates, you may be interested to know I have a second short story in the collection. My friend had an author drop out, so he asked me if I was up to drafting another one under a pseudonym. Crazy enough, despite the short turnaround I said yes. As of right now I’m a little behind since I’ve only given him the first draft, but like I said it was a quick turnaround. I’ve started the second draft which I’ll get to him this week.
After all of the short story business is taken care of, I’m going to dive into the second draft of my book. I think it’s good that I’ve taken a little more of a break from the story to refresh my thoughts on it. Coming back in with new eyes is always a plus.
That’s the majority of my update this month. The good news, however, is that I should have a little special mid-month update coming along once the short story collection is completed…
Until then!
