Over 8,500 words this month. That’s right. It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to write that much. I’m not entirely sure what the difference was from previous months other than I was just excited to make progress. It wasn’t even a particularly action-packed chapter either. It was just fun to write this time.
Chapter 12 is done. I’m a good way through Chapter 13, probably around halfway done. I ended up putting a lot more into chapter 12 than I was expecting which is interesting to me. Like I said, it wasn’t particularly thrilling. It still has some tense moments, but it’s a bit of a breather from the roller coaster leading up to it. And to prepare for what’s coming next. But still, it ended up becoming one of the longest chapters so far. We’ll have to see what people think of it when they read it.
Chapter 13 is like the beginning of the rise to action. It’s the actual moment when the hero embarks on that final step leading to the climax of the plot. So buckle up again, because it’s gonna start going nuts from here. Haha. I got at least halfway through the chapter before making this update, and it was right at the most tense part. I’m excited to get back into it.
So all in all, pretty good month. I’m sitting at 67,500 words total. Making some good progress. I can’t wait to finish so that I can look back and read everything. That’s always one of the more nerve-wracking parts for me. Did it work? Or is it a mess? I guess we’ll just have to see.
